Water Ingress in Steel Framed Buildings

Water ingress in steel framed buildings can be a serious concern as prolonged exposure to moisture can cause corrosion and electrical and mechanical failure as well as health & safety issues if the floor becomes slippery.
For this reason it is essential that regular checks are carried out on your steel building to ensure there are no areas that need attention due to water ingress.
Gutters and downpipes need to be cleared regularly to ensure there is no build-up of fallen leaves or debris to impede their performance in leading water away from the building using the intended routes.

Miracle Span’s steel frame buildings are designed to help prevent water ingress in your building by incorporating unique base and overhead drip flashings.

Our drip flashings are made from plastisol coated steel with a leathergrain finish and can be supplied in a range of colours and profiles to blend in with your building. We can also supply drip flashings in contrasting colours to accentuate the perimeter of your building as in the example above.
Our drip flashings can be fitted to a concrete slab or to a dwarf wall if required.
